Hitting the Pan...

Like a light at the end of a dark tunnel, that finish line approaching ahead after your first 5K run, the bottom of the plate during a pie eating contest - hitting the pan on any of your beauty products can deliver that same kind of high.

Okay, only if you are part of the beauty obsessed tribe like me, then you'd be excited...

So what exactly is hitting the pan? When you can literally see the bottom of the metal pan holding your shadow, blush, bronzer, etc...

This is my NARS blush/bronzing duo: Sin/Casino. As you can see, I rely heavily on my Casino bronzer. It makes me feel really proud of this accomplishment - it means that I've been pretty efficient by actually using what I have. I think I purchased this early Fall, so I have had this for six months more or less.

It'll probably take me longer to hit the pan of any of the blushes I own and that's just because I only use it on a small area of my cheeks versus the larger surface areas that needs bronzing coverage. Also, I own more blushes than I do bronzers.

Oh well, I guess that just means I need to be even more efficient with my blushes but you know what this really means for me?

I get to shop for NEW BRONZER! Oh alright, I'll make it my project to finish my Edward Bess bronzing powder before getting a new one....

  1. hahaha, totally understand the high of hitting pan... it gives me a sense of accomplishment, and reassurance that I really did need this product, because I'm obviously using it up :)

  2. I've never hit pan on anything! I don't think I've used makeup long enough... the closest I'm getting is on my Bobbi Brown Navajo shadow because I've used it as a base color so many times :)

    1. Hey Dovey,
Once you do hit that pan, you will feel an accomplishment like no other...or maybe that's just me??

  3. Yay, I love when I hit pan! (but confess it doesn't happen often, except with my powder foundation) I agree - it does give a great feeling of accomplishment! :)
