NARS for Don Giovanni

Hey there,
You may have noticed I was M.I.A last week - I decided to take a week off. At first I thought it was cool to have a major holiday in the middle of the week, who doesn't like random breaks from monotony? Well I was  wrong taking a holiday on a Wednesday to come back on a Thursday is like having two Mondays - nothing good comes out of that and the day just feels like a million hours long! Luckily, today went by quickly and I powered through another lunch time run - 4. 43 miles in 45 minutes - not bad at all! I'm training for a half marathon the end of this month (more on that later) and the furthest I have ever ran was a little under 6 miles. We'll see if I can last an entire 13 miles - wish me luck or offer any advice you can give me!

Okay before taking a mini breather last week, I managed to muster a few words on a recent NARS collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic production of Don Giovanni

  3. Hi Lexi, the makeup was so cool! Are you still doing theater makeup?

Also, good luck on your half marathon! I am the antithesis of a runner, so I take my hat off to you :)

    1. Hey Dovey,
Yes, I loved the makeup for this show - it's really cool. I am getting ready to do my assignment to date - A Midnight Summers Dream - for my theater group. I am going to try to learn more about body painting - this will definitely be out of my comfort zone. I will really need to stretch my imagination and really explore stage makeup. This is scary and fun at the same time...just like the half marathon I signed up for!
      Thanks for the kind words!!!

  4. Great post! I love to read the list of products that the makeup artist used to create a look.

Best wishes on your half marathon! I have a couple of friends who run marathons on a regular basis, but I myself am more the walking type (slowly, lol) I admire anyone who runs marathons! :)

    1. Hi MM,
Yes, I do too! I loved the looks created for this show - NARS seemed just right for this performance.

Thanks - I'll be attempting to run a little more than 6 miles this weekend. Honestly, I am just hoping to make it to 8 miles without falling apart. I have made peace with my ego - it's okay to stop and walk the rest of the way if I have to!
