Last day of the Ammo challenge and I'm happy to say - I survived!! It wasn't that hard of a challenge really. I have traveled with the palette in the past and nothing else (except for 2 different eyeliners and a cream shadow base). I guess the challenge was to focus all my attention to one palette and to really look at what I have in my existing stash. My beauty collection has seemed to take on a life of its own and if I don't pay attention it'll get even larger and eat me! This palette has proved to stand the test of time - I still reach for it regardless of the new (NARS) shadows I have added to my stash.
The color line up:
(L to R: Sin, Chopper, Smog, and MAC Designer Purple liner) |
Base:
Two Faced Shadow Primer
Lid:
Chopper (coppery fawn w/chunky silver glitter)
Crease:
Smog (deep copper bronze)
Highlighter:
Sin (champagne)
Eye liner:
MAC Designer Purple, Pearlglide Intense
Okay I added a third shade but I didn't cheat - it's from the same palette. I popped the bronzey Smog into the crease and I'm a big fan of purple liner with bronze so I went with my favorite purple, MAC's Designer Purple. It's got lots of chunky glitter so I avoided my waterline. As usual, I lined my top lash line and only lined 3/4 into my lash line. I wrapped up with lots of black mascara (MAC Haute and Naughty).
(q-tips/makeup remover needed for rogue glitter bits!) |
the extras:
Foundation: NARS Barcelona Sheer Glow
Bronzer: EB Daydream
Blush: MAC Prim and Proper
Lips: NARS Damage
Yay - I accomplished my challenge - now if I can only follow through on my diet goal!! |
I love this look on you. I'm never brave enough to try purples, but I love me some nars!
